Biogas is a gas that is easy to burn. As long as it is mixed with air to a certain concentration, it can immediately burn in case of fire. If burned in a closed container, it can also cause an explosion. Therefore, the following safety issues should be paid attention to when operating biogas power plants.

 

In biogas pipelines, anti backfire water seals should be installed. To prevent flames from burning through pipelines to the gas storage floating hood or biogas digester during engine backfire, causing fires or explosions.

 

After each operation of the generator set, the valve of the gas transmission pipeline should be closed to prevent the leakage and diffusion of biogas indoors, in order to avoid fire and poisoning accidents.

 

Regularly check the gas pipelines and valves for air leakage. If you smell a strong odor of rotten eggs in the power station, you should immediately open the doors and windows, strengthen indoor ventilation, and eliminate biogas. Do not ignite or smoke in the power station.
